Do I need to enter into a great level of detail about my issues?
Whilst I do need information about the issue in order to frame the situation and best address your treatment plan, I can assure you the information will be obtained in a sympathetic and intentional way. I will obtain only the information needed for treatment, and the information you are comfortable and willing to give me. You will not be made to disclose information you do not want to share. It goes without saying that confidentiality is strictly adhered to.
Do you specialise in certain issues?
Whilst I help clients with a range of issues such as nail biting, fear of flying, IBS and lifestyle habits, the majority of clients come to me for help with issues surrounding stress caused by the demands of modern life, anxiety, intrusive thoughts and depression. My particular area of passion is hypnotherapy for deep mental and physical relaxation. It is very rewarding to be able to help an overwhelmed and exhausted client in such an immediate way – I call it a massage for the Central Nervous System! I’m also passionate about using hypnotherapy to boost healthy lifestyle habits, such as increased motivation to eat well and exercise. I have lost almost three stone using self-hypnosis for healthy habits and know the difference it’s made to my life.
How many sessions do I need?
The number of sessions will depend on the treatment you are seeking. As a general rule of thumb, significant improvements are seen after one session. The majority of clients feel a sense of resolution and re-framing after three sessions. Smoking cessation is achieved in one session. How long does each session take?
Each session takes 60 minutes. Sessions may sometimes overrun, we will always plan according to your requirements and your schedule.
Do you offer online sessions?
Sessions take place in my therapy room in Meldreth or online via Zoom or Google Meet. Detailed instructions will be sent for online sessions to make sure everything runs smoothly. When possible, I advise clients to attend in person for at least the first session.
What is the cost of each session?
The cost for the first session is £90. Each follow-up session costs is £70. A pack of three sessions is discounted to £200. This discount is to recognise your commitment to the process. All prices include VAT.
Do you travel to clients?
I’m happy to travel to clients in some particular cases. For example, treatment for agoraphobia and social anxiety or other issues where the person is not able to leave their house. Please contact me to make arrangements. Of course, online sessions are also an option for these situations.
